Why Le Gantt

Everything you need to plan a project

Le Gantt brings full project-planning power to Basecamp—not just a timeline.

How it works

Everything you can do on the timeline

From linking tasks to tracking progress—here’s what planning in Le Gantt looks like.

  1. 1

    Dependencies that reschedule for you

Drag the handle on a to-do and drop the arrow onto another to link them. Le Gantt auto-schedules forward, so moving a predecessor cascades every dependent date down the chain. Click any connection to set its type and lag.

  2. 2

Plan dates right on the timeline

Drag a bar’s edges to change its duration, or move the whole bar to reschedule it—no leaving the chart. Dates sync straight back to the matching Basecamp to-dos, and you can right-click any bar to turn it into a milestone.

  3. 3

Track progress and compare to plan

Drag the progress handle on any bar to mark how far along it is, then capture a baseline to freeze the plan. Le Gantt overlays a planned-vs-actual ghost so you can see exactly where the project drifted.

  4. 4

    Synced with your Basecamp projects

Your to-do lists and to-dos come straight from Basecamp, and date changes write back automatically. Reorder, resize, or hide the sidebar columns—name, dates, assignee, progress—to fit how your team works.
